The Destitute Children Home
India Prayer & Fellowship Association is a registered trust in India which started it's mission from 4th Nov. '97. We are doing evangelism among non-believers. We do door to door ministry area wise and have close friendly relationship with those who respond for prayer and lead them to salvation. We specially work in the slum areas where the harvest is plenty and when we guide them in the Word and world, they accept the Lord with innocent heart and mind and enjoy the fruits. We come across variety of problems they have in their life, to name some, dept, no job, for men drink, no money for the next meal, for ladies adultery to clear the dept or for the next meal, having many kids, divorce, widows, etc, etc. We guide them, educate them, arrange jobs and show the right way along with the Word of God and the Good News.
Our main aim is to win souls and plant small churches in the slums to shepherd them. And we have six Churches
at present.
We give importance to the kids ministry also as it is easy to sow the seeds in their heart and bring them up in His way. We conduct Sunday Schools in the slums wherever possible. We come across variety of kids, orphans, street kids, physically handicapped, kids of separated families and many more.
We are running a"Destitute Children Home".
The kids of age group 4 to 14 are there who are orphans, kids of leprosies, kids of blind, etc. They are brought up in His way and meet all their needs including education. At present we have 28 kids in the orphanage and we have plans to add more kids, as the need is more.
In India the girls when they get married need to give a lot of money as a dowry for the boy's family. Besides throughout their life time the boy's family expect the girls family to give gifts and demand so many things. Parents also will go and live with the boys once they are old. So, boy babies are preferred than the girls. Throughout the world it is the same but for different reasons. So when the scan says that the baby is a girl, they usually abort. This is possible for the parents who can afford to go for scans. But those who are poor when the baby is born, once they know it is a girl they either abandon or murder the baby. We have the vision to raise such abandoned kids. We are in the process of starting another home for these babies in Tambaram. This can be the adoption center once we get the Government approval and those kids not adopted will stay and this will be an orphanage also. We are praying about this for the right time this ministry to be opened. You too pray and you can send your donations to start this home.
The average expense per kid is Rs 1000 ($ 20) per month. We welcome you to generously contribute for this non-profitable business of winning each kid for His kingdom and preparing them to serve as His disciples to win more souls.
